Par is situated in St Austell Bay with Par Sands Beach being, at most, 10 minutes from our holiday parks. The village is set just behind the beach although there are a selection of other beaches nearby such as Polkerris, Lansallos and Polridmouth. Par has a good range of pubs and takeaways serving good food so you don't have to worry about cooking whilst you're on holiday ! Without a doubt, Par Sands is the main attraction in the area; this golden, sandy beach is shallow in places, safe and dogs are allowed at certain times of the year. The Eden Project is just 10 minutes from our holiday parks and never fails to provide anything less than a jaw-dropping horticultural extravaganza ! The complex has three climatic domes, over a million plants, the world's largest rainforest in captivity as well as steamy jungles and waterfalls. There are family activities throughout the year and it’s well worth a visit. The Wheal Martyn China Clay Heritage Centre offers an interesting insight into what was one of the most important industries in Cornwall. There are displays, tours of the 19th century clay works, a children's play area, an adventure trail, scenic picnic areas along with a tearoom and gift shop.
